Event Description:
The Attic is hosting this fun run for the entire community! Dress up as your favorite SUPERHERO and help us celebrate all the heroes of our community who help with the foster crisis.
The Attic Foster Network is an organization that helps children in the foster system every day. We provide resources including beds, car seats, clothing, diapers, and school supplies for vulnerable children and families in our community.
In the Permian Basin, almost 90% of children placed in foster care will be moved away from their home county because of a lack of foster homes. The needs are great, and The Attic is working to engage the community with the crisis. In 2021, The Attic provided services for 777 children in the Permian Basin. We expect that number to be even greater in 2022.
