Event Description:
STORY LABS is a new series sponsored by the Midland Storytelling Festival that will feature master storytellers sharing stories and their unique artistry to inspire and encourage intergenerational conversation. Presentations are for mature teens through senior citizens. The foundation of the story presented will be the focus of discussion about the story, the feelings it evokes, what the listener's frame of reference is for things/circumstances shared, etc.
The featured teller for January 16th is Donna Ingham, humorist and folklorist. Donna has won liars contests throughout Texas. She is also recipient of the John Henry Faulk Award for "Outstanding contributions to the art of storytelling". A published author and former college professor, she has appeared at festivals and conferences throughout the United States and abroad.
