Time: 10:00 AM - 12:30 PM CDT
Event Description:
Looking for a way to give back? Do you want to find out how to help grieving children in your community? Rays of Hope is the place for you! Join us for volunteer training on Saturday May 15th at 10AM to find out how to get plugged in at Rays of Hope. Training will be held at Rays of Hope located at 900 W Wall Midland, Tx. We will provide lunch for you, so please RSVP to kworkman@raysofhopemidland.org or by phone at 432-684-5437. Rays of Hope Children’s Grief Centre is a community outreach of Hospice of Midland. We serve children 4 years to 18 years who have experienced a loss due to death, divorce, separation, incarceration, deployment, foster care, or other painful transitions. Our goal at Rays of Hope is to provide a safe, neutral place for children to engage in the work of grief with their peers. It is our hope that children will be supported in understanding and accepting their new family unit, grow a stronger sense of self-esteem, and move towards healthy resolution of the changes that have taken place in their lives. Because we are an outreach of Hospice of Midland, there are no charges for our services.
