State Senatorial Candidates to Square off in Forum
STATE SENATORIAL CANDIDATES TO SQUARE OFF IN FORUM
MIDLAND, TX – On February 13 at 7:00PM, Republican preliminary candidates for the office of Texas State Senator for Texas Senate District 31 will speak in an open forum. Candidates include Mike Canon, Victor Leal, and incumbent, Kel Seliger.
Candidates will have ten minutes to speak about their platform, then will take questions from the audience. Candidates will be available to speak informally with attendees after the event. This event is free and open to the public. The community and media are encouraged to attend.
Senate District 31 covers 37 counties in West Texas including the Permian Basin, Panhandle, and South Plains.
This event is organized by League of Women Voters (LWV) of Midland. LWV is a non-partisan organization that neither supports nor opposes candidates or political parties. The League encourages informed and active participation in the electoral process.
For this preliminary race, early voting begins February 20 and ends March 2. Election Day is March 6. The last day to register to vote is February 5.
