The Bush Family Home State Historic Site announces its new Lunchbox Talks Series beginning on May 7 at 12 pm. This free monthly program will take place on the first Wednesday of each month and will feature topics related to the 1950s and about the Bush Family in West Texas. The talks will include on-site staff but also guest speakers that will join either online or in person. Attendees can bring their own lunch and eat during the talk. They will take place in the visitors center across the street of the Bush Family Home. During the summer, the dates, topics and speakers will be: May 7-Site Educator/Interpreter Erin Frigo-STEM at the Museum June 4-Site Manager Troy Gray-Present and Future at the Bush Family Home July 2-Site Educator/Interpreter Chase Kirby-Presidents and Sports August 6-Site Manager Troy Gray-Presidential Scandals and Personal Flaws September 3-Beginning of our special guests “The Lunchbox Talks Series is meant to have good discussions on topics related to the mission of the site,” said Site Manger Gray. “It will be engaging and educational times for adults to enjoy.” The Bush Family Home State Historic Site is located at 1412 West Ohio St. in Midland. The hours for the home are: Tuesday-Saturday 10 a.m.-5 p.m.; the last tour begins at 4:15 p.m. Learn more: visitbushfamilyhome.com.
