Name: Lunch & Lecture: David H. Arrington- Drilling Midland
Date: February 19, 2019
Time: 11:30 AM - 12:30 PM CST
Event Description:
David’s passion for the oil business led him to Midland after graduating from Texas Tech University with a finance degree in 1983. Starting out as a Landman, he generated his first deal in Kermit, Texas. David’s arrival in Midland coincided with the oil bust hitting rock bottom. He says, “I knocked on lots of doors and kissed lots of frogs!” Finally, he was able to gather a group of investors and drilled wells within the city limits of Kermit. David drilled wells over the next 33+ years in several oil & gas basins in the US, including the famed Barnett Shale. After selling his properties in the Barnett, he headed back to where it all began, the Permian Basin. David
will discuss the many challenges of working in and around a city environment. Come hear his high-energy presentation of resource play meets urban development.
