Gingerbread House Family Workshop

Bring the whole family and decorate a gingerbread house! Have fun with the entire family while working through the stages of grief that accompany the holidays. Rays of Hope Children’s Grief Centre is a community outreach of Hospice of Midland. We serve children 4 years to 18 years who have experienced a loss due to death, divorce, separation, incarceration, deployment, foster care, or other painful transitions. Our goal at Rays of Hope is to provide a safe, neutral place for children to engage in the work of grief with their peers. It is our hope that children will be supported in understanding and accepting their new family unit, grow a stronger sense of self-esteem, and move towards healthy resolution of the changes that have taken place in their lives. Because we are an outreach of Hospice of Midland, there are no charges for our services.
