The public is encouraged to come see Sara's working studio and shop for original artwork, prints, and note cards. Admission is a $5 donation to MCCWB.

Drescher will hold a private reception on Friday, September 22 at 6 PM. She will unveil a new piece at 6:15 PM. Media are encouraged to attend unveiling. Artist will be available for interviews.

Sara Drescher earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in painting and drawing from the University of North Texas School of Visual Arts. She says she “is interested in taking the ancient tradition of religious art, especially icons, and bringing it into the 21st century using surrealism and symbols.” Recently, she had a solo exhibition at the CASE Gallery in Ft. Morgan, CO and a collaborative exhibit with artist Brad King at Kamiposi Gallery in Midland, TX.
The event benefits Midland County Child Welfare Board. Over 100 children from Midland currently live in foster care due to abuse and neglect by their families. Board Chairman Shelly Worrell said, “We provide vital resources these children need as well as extras most families take for granted.” MCCWB is an all-volunteer, 501(c)3 non-profit organization and all proceeds directly benefit foster children from Midland.
