Letter from Kathy & Becky of Miss Cayce's
We are sisters (Kathy & Becky) and co/owners of Miss Cayce’s Wonderland, Midland Texas for the past 36 years. During this time we have battled and thrived through local, state, world events, and economic times.
We have never seen anything like this, to be open and operating one day and shut down the next. Because of the virus and all the circumstances in the world and our country, we had to temporarily close. We had the store fully stocked to help our customers celebrate and decorate for the seasons. Our customers call us their Happy Place! But we didn’t get to be their Happy Place to shop, to brighten their day or add some joy during tough times, and this has been so hard not having them in to see it!
Looking at all our amazing merchandise sitting there we decided we needed to give some away! We wanted to spread cheer or bless someone or a family that needed a "cheer crash" in their life.
We polled our Team Cayce to have them nominate someone - Kayla Jean and her family Deana and Roger Boyd, two small children, were chosen. Their story is amazing.
We gathered our supplies to create a fabulous front porch and surprised them with a Bee themed "Cheer Crash". It was so fun to surprise them! What joy it brought! A local garden center The Agave Gardens donated a flower pot filled with beautiful plants!
This was such an amazing experience for our Team. We are now asking our community to nominate health care workers, 1st responders, teachers, community leaders, or someone deserving a "Cheer Crash” and will select the next recipient!
